  • No electricity provider is affiliated with us or pays us anything. Only members pay us.
  • You can stop at any time, and we charge no fee to cancel.
  • Complaints: support@kilohound.com or (469) 581-8407, or the Public Utility Commission of Texas at 1-888-782-8477 or consumer@puc.texas.gov.

1. Who we are

Bivalogic LLC d/b/a KiloHound, a Texas limited liability company (KiloHound is the assumed name under which Bivalogic LLC does business, on file with the Texas Secretary of State).

Business mailing address: 6150 Eldorado Pkwy, Suite 190 PMB 3041, McKinney, TX 75070.

Contact: support@kilohound.com or (469) 581-8407. A person reads every message.

2. Our PUCT registration number

Registration pending. We filed our application to register as an electricity broker with the Public Utility Commission of Texas on Oct 16, 2026. The Commission hasn’t granted it yet; our registration number will appear here once it does, and we won’t sell memberships before then.

3. Electricity providers affiliated with us

None. No retail electric provider is an affiliate of KiloHound or Bivalogic LLC.

4. What we do for you

KiloHound compares the retail electricity plans we can read and verify from Power to Choose and their Electricity Facts Labels, prices them on your own past 12 months of usage, and tells you whether switching pays after your cancellation fee, or whether to wait or keep your plan.

The free savings check shows how much you’d save, with your costs and the best plan’s cost on your usage. A free account keeps those numbers current (we re-price its homes every morning) and adds a reminder before your contract ends. Members also get the recommended plan by name with the link to switch, every plan we compared ranked with the math, and 12 months of Watch: the recommended plan kept current as prices change, switch alerts, the fee-free window reminder and a monthly check-up.

We’re not a retail electric provider: we don’t sell electricity, and we never enroll you in or switch a plan; you enroll directly with the provider. We never act for you with a provider, and we don’t handle your electricity bill.

5. How long the agreement lasts

The free check has no term: a check without an account is kept 30 days after your last visit, and a free account lasts until you delete it.

A membership runs for a 12-month subscription period that starts when you complete checkout, and renews automatically for 12 months at a time until you turn renewal off. Free access from an invite code lasts 12 months from the day you redeem it and doesn’t renew.

The refund deadline is counted separately, from each payment: you can ask for a full refund within 30 days of the date the payment actually went through (which can be a few days after the period starts, for example when a bank payment settles late).

6. How we’re paid, and by whom

Only by members. Your plan + a year of Watch costs $39 a year plus tax, and covers one home; each home past the first is $15 a year plus tax on the same membership. Homes you already have when you buy a membership are part of that purchase, charged in its price; a home you add during a membership is free until the membership’s next renewal. Paid by you through Stripe. Renews yearly at the regular price, plus tax, unless you turn it off in Settings. 30-day refund, no questions asked.

Electricity providers pay us nothing: no commissions, no paid placement and no referral fees, whether or not you switch.

Memberships aren’t on sale yet: nothing is charged during the current beta, and the savings check and contract-end reminders are free.

7. How to end the service

Turn renewal off any time in Settings (Manage billing): you keep access to the end of the year you paid for and no renewal is charged. Turning renewal off stops future renewals; a payment already due on an invoice issued before then is still owed. To end everything, delete your account in Settings, which also stops renewal. A check without an account can be deleted with “Delete my answers now” on its result. You can also ask us by email.

Within 30 days of any payment, including a renewal, you can ask for a full refund of that payment instead.

8. Fees for ending the service

None. KiloHound charges no fee to cancel, turn off renewal or delete your account.

Your electricity plan is separate: if you leave a fixed-rate plan early, your electricity provider may charge its own early termination fee, set in that plan’s terms. We count that fee in our math, but it isn’t ours.

9. The Public Utility Commission of Texas

For complaints and questions about us, you can contact the Commission:

Email consumer@puc.texas.gov (the rule also lists customer@puc.texas.gov). Online: https://www.puc.texas.gov/consumer-help/complaints/complaint/ (www.puc.texas.gov). Relay Texas (TTY): 1-800-735-2989.

Complaints

To complain about KiloHound, or ask about any part of the service or a charge, write to support@kilohound.com with “Complaint” in the subject. Please include:

  • your name and the email address on your account (or the one you used for the check);
  • your ZIP code, and your service address if the complaint is about a particular home;
  • what happened, with dates;
  • what you’d like us to do about it;
  • anything that shows the problem: a screenshot, an email from us, the plan’s facts label or a bill.

What we do with a complaint

A person reads every complaint. We look into it promptly and tell you what we found and what we’ll do.

Within 21 days of receiving your complaint, we also tell you how the Public Utility Commission of Texas’s informal complaint process works and how to reach the Commission, as 16 TAC §25.486(k)(1) requires, so you can take it further if you aren’t satisfied.

If the Commission forwards a complaint about us, we investigate it and report the results to the Commission in writing within 21 days, as §25.486(k)(3)(D) requires. We keep a record of each complaint (your name and address, and its date, nature and outcome) for two years after it’s closed (§25.486(k)(3)(F)).

Complaining never costs you anything, and nothing in our terms limits your right to complain to the Commission. We never require arbitration or mediation.

Complaining to the Public Utility Commission of Texas

You can make an informal or formal complaint to the Public Utility Commission of Texas at any time, whether or not you’ve complained to us first. Its contacts:

Public Utility Commission of Texas, Customer Protection Division, P.O. Box 13326, Austin, Texas 78711-3326. Phone (512) 936-7120, or toll-free in Texas 1-888-782-8477. Fax (512) 936-7003. Email consumer@puc.texas.gov (the rule also lists customer@puc.texas.gov). Online: https://www.puc.texas.gov/consumer-help/complaints/complaint/ (www.puc.texas.gov). Relay Texas (TTY): 1-800-735-2989.

An informal complaint should include, where they apply: your name, billing and service address, phone number and email; our name (Bivalogic LLC d/b/a KiloHound) and, once the Commission grants one, our registration number; the name of any electricity provider involved; your electricity account number or ESI ID; what happened; what you want done; and anything that supports it. If the informal process doesn’t settle it, you can file a formal complaint with the Commission within two years of the day it closes the informal one.
